3 Specific Points that I found interesting

Prior to the 1940's, it was very uncommon for women to hold a job. The typical woman would take care of the children and perform all of the household chores. After the Rosie the Riveter campaign in the 40's women begin working in factories and shipyards. After this movement the percentage of women who worked went from 27% to 37%. 

In the 1980's there were 3 recessions from 1981-1982. Within these recessions, the amount of jobs and good's that were produced had declined drastically. However, I found it interesting that there was a significant growth in health services. The increase in health services needed were due to newly private insurers, a growing elderly population, and technological advances. The growth in health care resulted in an increase of outpatient clinics as well as women workers around the world. 

Although the game boy and video game systems had just become a popular thing in the 1980's, there were still a great amount of popular activities performed outside of gaming. In adults, favored activities included things such as, skateboarding and home exercises. Children in the 80's enjoyed playing board games, hop scotch, red rover, and simon says. In the 80's there was a good balance between inside and outside activities. Unlike later generations who became obsessed with video gaming and social media.
